Boulder is a dynamic community located at 5,430 feet above sea level and is surrounded by over 30,000 acres of enormous open space. This charming city is nestled in Boulder Valley, where the Rocky Mountains join the Great Plains.

There is an abundance of exciting activities and things to do in the Boulder area. Not only are there hundreds of events at the University of Colorado each year, the city of Boulder is home of the Boulder International Film Festival, Boulder Creek Festival, Colorado Chautauqua, which offers lectures, music, and cinema, the Bolder Boulder10K, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival and more.

The art scene thrives in the Boulder area with the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, the Boulder Arts & Crafts Cooperative, which is one of the oldest co-ops in the United States, and the Dairy Center for the Arts. There are numerous art shows and events like Art in the Park throughout the year.

Boulder is very popular with outdoor enthusiasts and there are plenty of fun activities to indulge in no matter what the season. Located just 25 miles north of Denver, Boulder is conveniently close to Denver International Airport and there are numerous shuttles, buses and even light rail service that makes it easy to get in and out of the city any time of year.  It is also within driving distance of many other cities.  One could drive down to Denver, or check into an Estes Park hotel for a quick getaway.
