In one of the newest addition to the popular Advanced Myofascial Techniques series, you’ll learn hands-on advanced myofascial techniques that dramatically improve your ability to work with the rib cage and related structures such as the spine, diaphragm and mediastinum. Increase your effectiveness when working with rib pain and injuries, ligament and joint conditions, respiratory issues, surgery recovery, thoracic stability, postural issues, and movement limitations.

Preparation: completion of our Spine, Rib, & Low Back or Scoliosis course (via seminar or DVD) is suggested (though not required) preparation for this course. Order the DVDs at a discount during your registration.

Advanced Myofascial Techniques Series

This popular series of seminars presents practicing somatic therapists and qualified students with advanced and little-known myofascial techniques which can be easily incorporated into existing personal styles. Drawing on a wide range of disciplines, the focus is on unusual, interesting, and fresh approaches that will both expand technique repertoire and inspire creativity and innovation. Potential topics include:

 Specific techniques for common structural and functional complaints
 Relieving pain, restoring lost function, and getting lasting results 
 Utilizing both active and passive movement to enhance effectiveness 
 Precision in working with specific tissue types and body layers 
 Combining indirect or subtle work with deep or direct work 
 Tracking subtle psychophysiological and nervous system responses 
 Ways to work sensitively, safely, and comfortably at very deep levels.

About your Instructor, Til Luchau

Til LuchauWith a diverse background that includes experience and contributions in the fields of manual therapy, post-secondary eductation, somatic psychology, as well as organizational and leadership development, Til's ability to connect interdisciplinary, big picture ideas to practical, real-world applications has made his trainings and events popular worldwide.

As a Certified Advanced Rolfer®, Til is a former faculty member and Coordinator of the Rolf Institute's Foundations of Rolfing Structural Integration program, where in the early 1990's he originated Skillful Touch Bodywork (the Rolf Institute's own training and practice modality). As the author of Advanced Myofascial Techniques textbook series, his regular column has appeared in Massage & Bodywork magazine since 2009, and his articles have been published in magazines and peer-reviewed technical journals in Australia, Canada, Poland, the UK, and the USA. Formerly a resident practitioner at the Esalen Institute, Chair of the Rolf Institute's Teacher Training Committee, and Adjunct Faculty member of Naropa University's Somatic Psychology Department, he has trained thousands of practitioners in his popular courses at schools and centers in over a dozen countries on six continents. His private practice is based in the Boulder/Denver area, and includes myofascial work, practitioner supervision, and professional coaching with clients from around the world.


CAMT Program Description

Designed for practicing manual therapy professionals and advanced students, the Certification in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT) programs give you a credential that will set you apart in the eyes of clients, referral sources, clinics, employers, and schools.

To become CAMT certified, simply attend the 5 principle seminars in the Advanced Myofascial Techniques series (AMT) series, receive 2 AMT sessions, and earn additional elective credits through a variety of local or at-a-distance options.

The optional CAMT II certification adds additional benefits, including in-depth individual mentoring, approval to give for-credit AMT sessions, workshop "Table Assistant" eligibility, product discounts, and more.
