Are you concerned about the near record-low numbers of monarch butterflies? Join our Citizen Science team to
help understand the breeding range of monarchs in Colorado. This 6 hour training will introduce you to the Monarch Larva Monitoring Project (www.mlmp.org) and how you can contribute your data to this national research project. During the training, you’ll learn about monarch biology and habitat, practice protocols for monitoring milkweed for caterpillars, and explore data from volunteers across the country. The training is free but a $20 donation is suggested for the monitoring kit. Wear comfortable outdoor shoes, and bring your lunch and reusable water bottle.
