Boulder Is the Perfect Place to Live

With 300 or more days of sunshine and 19 inches of precipitation each year, and almost unlimited opportunities for outdoor and cultural activities, it’s no wonder so many people feel that Boulder is the ideal community.

Among other distinctions, Boulder has been named number one of America's Top 25 Towns to Live Well by, one of the Ten Best Cities for the Next Decade by Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine, ranked #19 of the Top 25 Destinations in the US by, #9 of the Top 100 Places to Live by, and earned the top spot in the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. Boulder was also named America's Foodiest Town by Bon Appetit magazine.

Boulder is popular with outdoor enthusiasts as it is surrounded by more than 36,000 acres of recreational open space, conservation easements, and nature preserves. The area is much-loved by rock climbers, mountain bikers, hikers and winter athletes. Boulder also is home to more than 23 colleges and professional schools, more than 1300 restaurants, 26 libraries, 67 public golf courses, seven museums and six movie theaters.

There is an abundance of exciting activities and things to do in the Boulder area. The city of Boulder is home of the Boulder International Film Festival, Boulder Creek Festival, Colorado Chautauqua, which offers lectures, music, cinema, adult education classes each summer, a 10K event called Bolder Boulder, plus hundreds of events at the University of Colorado each year.

With just over 100,000 residents and located within half an hour of Denver, for many Boulder is the perfect place to live. Its proximity to Denver International Airport makes it extremely easy to get in and out of the area, and professionals find it’s a quick commute to the city of Denver.
