Boulder Celebrates Halloween & Trick or Treating Hours

Downtown Boulder will host its annual Munchkin Masquerade this Oct. 31 come rain, snow or clear skies! The hours are 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2011. This Trick-or-Treating event is set for the Pearl Street Mall and its nearby streets.

The event is for children and is an annual event in Boulder. The event typically draws thousands of children and their parents to enjoy this special fun. The event takes over Pearl Street and stretches out to the East and West ends of the Mall. It also involves Broadway, Spruce Street and Walnut Street.

Downtown Boulder businesses sign up to participate and delight the munchkins that will be crawling on the streets.

The Downtown Boulder Munchkin Masquerade is open to all. It is a free event. The event is produced by Downtown Boulder Inc. and is made possible with the help of sponsors and the businesses and community groups that participate.

While many cities on the East Coast have specific hours set aside for traditional trick or treating, most Colorado cities simply start when parents and kids decide to go out. For most that’s just prior to dusk and wrapping up prior to 9 p.m. Most are expected to be in earlier this year, given the fact that Halloween falls on a school night.
